Hi, I am developing a scale and conducting Rasch analysis in the process using Winsteps.
I would like to investigate if a social desirability bias might be present in the responses of some items. I came across this approach, which seems suitable: https://www.rasch.org/rmt/rmt214b.htm
Can anybody tell me how I can generate these curves for individual items indicating the response category on the x-axis and the average ability on the y-axis?

If you have the mean ability estimates for the respondents in each of the rating scale categories, you can produce these using a simple Excel chart. This would allow you to format the charts to your own specifications and also permit you to export the charts as saved images.
Create a table with the items in the first column and the response categories in the first row. Then fill the inner table with the mean ability estimates. You can use this table to produce the charts for each item.
