So I'm doing a sorption experiment, and I've come to the point where I'm evaluating which of the kinetic models best suits my adsorption process. Since I've used the nonlinear models, should I look at the R squared parameter or Chi squared? The problem is that they are opposite of one another.

For example, I got the best R2 value for Elovich, but the chi squared function shows that PFO model is the best fit. How should I explain that? I should also note that the R2 values were taken from Origin, while the chi squared values were calculated. The R2 values for all the models that I've used are very close to one another, but the chi values are not, and as I've said, they show a different story.

Any advice?

Thank you in advance.
