I would advise caution about using the blanket statement that : ""Integrated Organic Farming is one of the solution of Environmental Pollution" as no system is inherently better than another. For instance, using large amounts of organic amendments in place of inorganic fertilizers may seem more envi. friendly but it is difficult to determine the mineralization rate of organic matter and these may also lead to eutrophication when lost in runoff

Yes, I am developing a proposal on integrated organic farming. Here I want to make clear that I am not using the blanket statement. It's a fact that the developing country like Nepal is facing a great problem of waste disposal. The organic waste management has always been a major environmental and social problem in the major cities of Nepal and management of cites' waste becomes a political issue. It is very hard to get the geo-scientifically viable, environmentally suitable and socially acceptable sanitary landfill sites. The practice of treating waste materials as a resource is becoming more common, especially in metropolitan areas where space for new landfill is scarce. Therefore, my model project will focuses on to establish the use of composting worms for vermi-composting with integration of organic vegetables farming and some other animal husbandry/farming. It will not only reduces the organic garbage but also utilize it as a resources in a sustainable way. It will also reduces the emission of greenhouse gases and moreover I am also trying for a good way of carbon sequestration method. If the highly skilled personnel in the relevant field could give me the constructive comments, suggestions or any literature I would be happy to all.

We are operating three industrial scale 'worm farms' in New Zealand which are integrated in first one in dry stock farming, second one in organic certified dairy farming (here the vermicomposting operation is organic certified), and the third site is integrated in forest plantation. Each worm farm is processing some 20,000 tonnes of organic wastes from local industries and communities. Each has a footprint of 10 to 15 ha. The worm farm is integrated in the farm management in two ways. 1. Rotating on the paddocks or forest blocks to avoid nutrient leaching by planting catch crops after vermicomposting. 2. by providing high quality soil conditioners to the farmers without transportation costs.
