"Best" protein extraction method for insect LC-MS/MS?

I was wondering if anyone has ever extracted proteins from insect larvae to determine protein expression and what the used protocol was. I would like to know what methods are out there and try to compare them.. I do not use gel-separation but "direct" LC-MS/MS. I think that some chemical extraction methods therefore do not work as intended. Any help would be much appreciated :)
