I am new to Aermod and I have been trying to understnad the equations used in it. My question is how the temporal variation in meteorological data is taken into account? If I give a 1 year of meteorolgical data with interval of 1 hour, how the equations take into account the effect of previous meteorological profile in calculating the concentration at present time?

Based on the interval that you select (for example 8 hours), the output of AERMOD would be the maximum 8 hr average concentration that occurred during the 1 year of the data that you are using. But I didn't get what do you mean by "present time"? The AERMOD gives you the maximum concentration that could be occurred during the time period of your inserted data. It is not going to tell you the future concentrations.
Aermod follows Gaussian model. For each hourly met data the GLC is computed for each receptor location. Then the period is averaged based on the requirement, 8-hourly or 24-hourly.
Generally, the met data collected closest to the source of emission is preferred.

Aermod will calculate pollutant concentration by each hour, according the gaussian plume. The output is the highest 8-hourly or 24-hourly mean during all time simulation, in each receptor (or/and the second, third, ..., highest, depending of your choice). Therefore, the output is not the plume itself, but a scenario showing the worst scenario. The highest concentration in a certain receptor will probably not occur in the same day, or hour, for other receptor.
You can specify the output options appropriate for your objectives, including various averaging times, maxima, etc. If desired, you can output all 8760 hourly averages for each receptor and do your own post-processing.
