This may sound like a chicken and egg problem as new questions are usually based on previous answers. In my understanding, nowadays that many answers could be found via simple googling, asking (novel and good) questions are more important as they could hardly be generated by artificial intelligence. On the other hand, providing useful answers to such questions is challenging as well. What is your opinion?
As I've been stating for many years before I realized that Aristotle actually had stated the very same a few thousand years before me:
"The more you know, the more you know that you don't know."
That is, answers to questions will always generate more questions. :-)
So if you're curious you'll have a never-ending happy story...(!) ;-)

it is in part dependent on science or discipline. In philosophy, the questions are without doubt the most important, and new answers serves in general as a possibility to refine or substitute the question. In a longer perspective, it seems to work like that in many other sciences as well. Both questions and answers are also dependent on science context, just think of Kuhn and paradigms.
In order of sequence, but not of importance:
1. “Knowing” what questions to ask
2. “Knowing” where to find answers
3. “Knowing” which combination of answers is correct
4. “Knowing” whether to go back to 1 or to stop.
1. I successfully supplied questions rather than titles to the PG students who had to generate their own learning objects which provided the answers. I pretended that my questions were are “Frequently Asked Questions” that the students need to know the answers for.
2. I also taught the same students point 2 in another class so that they had the tools.
3. I marked the students on their individual achievements in 3.
4. When enough textbook material was available, I stopped.

There would be no answers if no questions were asked before. Questions reveal the orientations of knowledge at some point. Answers are prefigured by questions. I think from an epistemological point of view the questions are more important

It depends on situation, do you want to know by questioning or you want to share your knowledge by answering ..
