Good evening to all i am working on gas sensors. for that I have been using MOF and its composite as a material for sensing layer. For the preparation of composite, i have been using Ni-MOF along with polyaniline as conducting polymer. Ni-MOF being insulating, i have tried to incorporate conductivity using Polyaniline. I tried various ratios of polyaniline in comparison to the linker. But in the end i didn't got any conductivity in the composite. I also tried the composite of Ni-MOF with reduced graphene oxide but that also didn't show any conductivity (means showing resistance in range of Giga ohm). So can you please suggest me where i am doing wrong?

Could you please explain how you put Ni,-MOF on RGO? What was the linker you used?
Sir i prepared Ni MOF in 42 ml Solvent and out of this 42ml Solvent, i used 21ml to disperse RGO and rest 21ml for metal and linker. the linker i used was Amino BDC
Dear Naini Garg thank you for posting this interesting technical question. there are four common strategies to increase conductivity in MOF: (1) the “through-bond” approach, continuous chains of coordination bonds between the metal centers, and ligands’ functional groups create charge transport pathways. (2) “extended conjugation” approach, the metals and entire ligands form large delocalized systems. (3) “through-space” approach harnesses the π–π stacking interactions between organic moieties. (4) The “guest-promoted” approach utilizes the inherent porosity of MOFs and host-guest interactions. As mentioned in the reference cited below.
