I believe that quantum theory is essentially idealistic because the quantum Liouvillle equation explains cause & effect at the level of the probability function--the state of mind of the experimenter. As an afterthought I prove that entanglement (EPR/Bell) is mere correlation or what Bell calls "Bertlmann's socks." That something is idealistic can only be the result of a philosophic argument, but not
a physics argument.
Indeed, Ilya Prigogine , in the laws of chaos, also rewrites QM at the level of probability as
you say, but this is simply reformulation, but not argument. In this case he does it to defend
the concept of quantum chaos. Either both versions are idealistic or not...Even in his book
it rather hard to get to what he is driving at.
Indeed entaglement is often thought of a correlation picked up when two particles are very close,
and continues undisturbed to where they are widely separated. John Bell describes an analogy,
Bertelmans socks.
So I dont think were getting to any new place...
