I am currently working on a systematic review and I am in the quality assessment phase. I am writing this inquiring about the quality assessment tool that I can use to assess non-randomized studies (mainly cohort study and cross-sectional study).

I recommend you the Critical Appraisal Skills Programme (CASP) and the Joanna Brings Institute Critical Appraisal Tools. Both institutions offer tools for assessing the quality of cohort, cross sectionals and case controls studies. Another possibility is the Q-Coh. Reference is Q-Coh: a tool to screen the methodological quality of cohort studies in systematic reviews and meta-analyses. Jarde, Losilla, Vives and Rodrigo (2012).
