As unsatisfactory as war is, we may have no choice. This could be a do or die moment and a necessary point where civilisation is fought for, and the world cannot just sit back and watch.

I will add to this, indicating Putin's hand somewhere in the middle eastern events, that he is trying to distract attention and create further disturbances around the world. We are undergoing great change. No more United Nations. No more co-operation between nations. Dictators rule! Of course Russia is too weak, poor economy and military so effectively it is Putin's fantasy, and China is too economically vulnerable. A war could expose those vulnerabilities and ruin it.

The Russian-Ukrainian war is a war of interrelated proportions, from the economic, political and even the valuable and ideological aspect, and therefore it is not possible to rely on the military side alone to analyse and study this political phenomenon, and to understand the role of the various parties involved in this war must first pass the history of historical relations, political and economic gains, and various geostrategic bets.
