A group of my colleagues contacted me asking about a publication that appeared under our names in the above-mentioned journal (Article Public Awareness and Perception in Saudi Arabia Regarding th...
).We did not make that research work, nor did we apply for this journal to publish with them and the whole thing was a bit of a shock.
We approached the editor on the email announced in the Journal's website, but he did not respond to us at all. We requested a retraction of the article, but it is still there over their website.
We decided to request from all our colleagues over whatever possible platforms to illuminate us of their past experiences with this journal, if anyone had a similar experience or published regularly with them and their impression of the work of the journal.
My colleagues and I have now the impression that the article was AI-generated and the publication was done in our names to convince others that the journal is capable of attracting international authorship. We are aware that other reasons for this irregular publishing also exist.
Meanwhile we remain optimistic that the article will be retracted or at least for our names will be removed.

I suspect that they used https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33291281/ as a sort of template (author names and order, affiliation info etc.)
AND the paper is not AI generated it is even worse (if possible) it is a plagiarized version of the following paper:

I just check one other paper (pretty randomly) and found exactly the same fraud. They ‘published’ the following paper https://tjphd.com/article/a-public-health-strategy-for-preventing-early-childhood-caries-pcstquaa4day9w3 which is the plagiarised version (they abused the same journal) of the following paper:

I guess the best thing you can do is to inform the ‘victimized’ journal “Annals of Dental Specialty” https://annalsofdentalspecialty.net.in As far as I can see this is a legit and genuine journal (Scopus indexed etc.) and I guess they will take this copyright infringement seriously.

After looking carefully into the other journal from which the plagiarized paper was taken, it turned out to be that the editor:
Dr. Luca Testarelli, Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry, Department of Oral Sciences and Maxillofacial Surgery, Sapienza University of Rome, Rome, Italy, is also the editor for the other journal which is plagiarizing that paper under our names.
Testarelli is not responding to emails !!!??
I will try and send to his university and to the publisher, perhaps this will force him to respond.
Dear Professor Abu-Hammad, thank you for sharing this post. We have a similar issue as well.
A recent publication has also appeared under my name (and my mentors) in the same journal, and, like you, we had no involvement in conducting the research or submitting it for publication in this journal. I have just informed my co-authors about the issue.
We will be reporting this to our university library and research integrity team for further advice.
