I am looking for a protocol for an efficient lysis of bacillus megaterium, to decrease the sonication time?
Is that for DNA extraction or what for?
That is for protein purification....
Bugbuster with benzonase....follow this protocol. if further lysis is needed use microfluidizer.

you can use lysozyme of different concentration for cell lysis of B. megaterium
