Hi all,
I'm trying to use silver nanocomposite(Ag nanoparticle + acrylated polyurethane based resin) as a electrode for electrochemical sensing. So far, our team has used Potassium Ferricyanide for electrolyte in standard cyclic voltammetry.
However, we found that Ferricyanide react with silver and produce silver ferricyanide(Ag4Fe(CN)6) at almost 0V (vs Ag/AgCl) reduction potential. We suspect that this factor may be the reason why CV shows no peak shape despite the composite's high conductivity.
Given your experience, what would be the best alternative electrolyte for our experiment? We hope to use proper electrolyte for CV of silver nanocomposite. The more cheaper and manageable, the better.
Thanks
