The option Projects on Research Gate will be removed on March 31, 2023. What alternatives do you use for project communication that combines both - recording of project news (project log) and an easy accessibility and communication with external partners and new contacts from science and industry?
I received the following reply from a member of the ResearchGate Community Support concerning my expression of regrets about the retirement of projects: "While we understand your feelings regarding this decision, we are aiming to provide a better experience for researchers like yourself to showcase your work and stay up to date. To that end, we plan to release multiple features this year to make it easier to share updates, discover new research, and engage with topics. We hope you will join us as we continue to make ResearchGate a more useful tool for all researchers." So, we will see what RG will offer in the future.
Since there are no post-doctorate positions in our country, there is no environment for doctoral students and graduates to communicate (or find) with each other in Turkey (where I live). There is no communication platform between former graduates and current students within the school, too. This is a significant obstacle to conducting research with a multidisciplinary perspective. We continue to have such discussions among ourselves. I see the result of establishing an intranet system open to doctoral students and graduates, at least within the country, might solve some problems. What is your opinion?

The best way to network available to me is to use the old-fashioned way of talking to people at conferences. You reach a lot fewer people, to be honest. But it is better than none at all.
Of course, I try to get my work published in well known journals, as well.
