Actually I am designing a cylindrical antenna and while i do, the substrate can not placed on the surface ground plane and overlapping error occur due to number of segment problem of cylinder. So would any one help me to design a cylindrical patch antenna. Thanking you in advance.

you cant wrap a solid substrate on sheet. First draw a vacuum cylinder with appropriate dimension then wrap a sheet on it as ground. then draw another cylinder having radius more(thickness) then the first one. the substract the first one.
I attached a HFSS.19 cylindrical model file having ground and a patch. no feeding is given because I am note clear which type of feeding you are using.
