I am trying to link ABAQUS 6.13 with intel parallel studio 2013 and visual studio 2010.
On opening abaqus i get following notifications. (please see attached image )
Whereas while running the code i get an error
Unable to delete file(s) C:\Users\Civil-2\AppData\Local\Temp\Civil-2_trial_23940. Please check that you have file ownership and permissions for removal.
It would be appreciated if someone can let me know that the problem is in the code or in the compiler?
It may be neither; as the message states, check your file permissions.
Since you're running Visual Studio, I'm guessing your running Windows. One of the problems Windows has is that it doesn't reliably release locks when a process terminates abnormally. Sometimes this will necessitate a shutdown and reboot. Before that, though, try this:
- Go into that directory and see if C:\Users\Civil-2\AppData\Local\Temp\Civil-2_trial_23940. is actually present.
- If it is present check the permissions for the file and the folder it's in. Windows has a complex system of file and folders permissions; you may be able to write a file but not delete it. To check permissions, you would use either cacls or icacls.
- If it's not present, try re-running Abaqus. Turn on any logging, and capture the output to the screen (this is much easier on *ix, but, at worst, get a screenshot). If the problem persists, check the Abaqus user forum, then their tech support group.

If you follow the steps and have all the right versions of the software installed it should work without any problems.
