i want simulate the fertilizer plant using aspen plus .is it possible to use two or more then two thermodynamic property method in single aspen plus flow sheet diagram
You should be able to use 2 options:
1) To run the whole simulation a few times with different suitable property models but the same one for a given flowsheet;
2) To use different property models for different sections of the flowsheet (say, EOS for compressors & pipes, and NRTL for reactors, heat exchangers, or condensors).
The differences in results would characterize an uncertainty of your approach along with valueability of the great simulator.
Yes, you can choose different properties methods for each block in your simulation (say, NRTL for mixers or reactors, and EOS for compressors, pumps, and pipes). Just check BLOCK description in APLUS documentation.
Do you have solids equipment in your flow sheet?! If yes, you can not change your property method. Otherwise, changing that is possible for each block from its options.
