What is the prevalence of developing an active tuberculosis infection in patients with a negative tuberculin skin test, who have been treated with anti-TNF therapy or organ transplantation (Liver, SCT, etc.)?
TST is the standard method of determining whether a person is infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and is also used in preparation for organ transplantation. There is currently little documentation when it comes to dual skin testing (DST) in the context of organ transplants.
