I am trying to conduct EBSD on Ti6Al4V laser weld for the first time and wasn't sure how to prepare the sample. Could any one give me some advice based on their experience? I am trying to use the OPS solution. At the moment, I don't really have the availability of electro polishing. How long should I polish for? Will the OPS stain after polishing on the specimen surface affect the EBSD results much?
