I'm using CORDEX climate model data (over the US) for the first time and the rainfall is supposed to be in kg/m2/s according to the documentation. However, when I convert this I get crazy values, often many metres of rain in a day. I've seen a comment (referring to Australasian data but presumably also true elsewhere) saying it's out by a factor of 24, but even dividing by 24 leaves me with very large values. Does anyone know what the units are?
