I ran an experiment and am now trying to wrangle all of this data into a good results page.
I have a control group and an experimental group - when taking the pre-survey, participants got to choose to either take part in the experiment or not. If they didn't want to: control. If they did participate: experimental.
In both the pre- and post- surveys, I collected inventory data. Particularly the Multidimensional Assessment of Interoceptive Awareness (MAIA-2), and the Intolerance of Uncertainty inventories. I calculated each participant's scores from each timepoint.
I want to see if the experiment affected score changes. So, I have all of my data in SPSS and am stuck on which test to actually run.
MANOVA? Paired T-test?
Please help - I'm just terrible with statistics.

Julianne O'Brien, from the information you have given, I suspect that ANCOVA would be the most appropriate tack to take. It can be a bit tricky to perform, but at least there are some helpful YouTube sites on the web. From memory, one of those sites is by Andy Field.
I'd run paired t-test for within-subjects differences in each group, from Time 1 to Time 2. If you don't want to run repeated measures, you can calculate the difference scores in each team (T2-T1), and run an independent samples t-test with the difference score to assess whether the gain was different in the experimental group or not.
