What can be the possible reason for this mismatch of backbone curve and hinge load path as shown in the figure. Same behavior is observed in beams as well. Because of this issue columns in my building are not loosing strength along the slope i have defined. Therefore, not going till collapse wherever they are expected to.
Has someone faced such issue?

The post-peak behavior is actually a function of the stiffness of the testing machine in relation to the stiffness of the test specimen, and the rate of strain. With the increasing strength of concrete, its brittleness also increases, and this is shown by a reduction in the strain at failure.

Hello Niharika,
You may resolve this strength degradation issue by changing the parameter in Hinge Overwrites. The software automatically limits the negative slope to 10% of elastic stiffness. Assign > Frame > Hinge Overwrites: from here you can choose a different degradation.
