I am designing a small groundwater treatment plant for a rural area near me. I need to simulate my nanofiltration membrane as part of this project. Do you have any suggestions for possible software that could achieve this.
If possible please list those that would also allow simulation of coagulation and of ultrafiltration.
The key for filtration is to move the particles away from the filter. Simulation merely predict when will it choke... but does not improve performance nor remove the problem
Lots of commercial companies provide simulation software for the product they are providing. For example, Toray has a simulation software called DS2 for the simulation of all their membrane provided. This software is also free and relatively easy to use. Other companies like Suez also have their proprietary software name winflows. As a benchmark, it would be good to use multiple software to have a good comparison. Ie take the simulated results from DS2 and winflows with membranes of simular specs for comparison.
