Hello fellow Researchers,
I have question on which I can not find the answer.
Does anyone encounter the technology of thin polyurethane layer inner coating of steel pipes for gas transportation? I have been told that there are some applications of polyurethane coatings of the inside pipeline walls which has several advantages: a) it repairs the cracks (especially in older pipelines); b) it improves the gas flow...
According to my knowledge suchlayer is so rough that it has worse properties than pure metal (even corroded).
What are Your opinions on this "revelation"?
Best regards,
Stan
