Currently, in my work I would like to use the process of surface activation (using laser techniques) for thermoplasts. I'm not familiar with the theme yet.
Could you suggest any qualitative and quantitative "measurement" methods that are used to describe the effects of surface activation?

I think that You should start with SEM and compare structure of surface before and after activation (problem is that samples must be conductive). Also You can check surface roughness on AFM before and after activation. Secondly I would try XPS and NMR.

Zainab Raheem I know this method, but I am looking for activation analysis methods (How to assess the "degree" and "effectiveness" of activation? How to directly show that this activation has taken place?).
