When I am trying to draw a polyhedral by clicking on 'Polyhedral' Style in VESTA Software, it is not changing. It seems like this option is jammed. Even when in the properties -> Polyhedra, all the options are disabled.
All the other styles (Ball-and-stick, Space-filling, Wireframe, Stick) are properly working. But when I am clicking on the Polyhedra option, it brings Ball-and-stick style to the structure.
I have also reinstalled the software. But the problem is still the same.
How can I enable the polyhedral option in VESTA?

I just have the same problem, although I am not sure it's due to the same origin. Since I solved it I'll share what I learned. I had a structure where I defined bonds bewteen a central atom M and two types of surrounding species, which we can call A and B. M is bonded with the surrounding A and B atoms, but I wanted to create a polyhedron only defined by the M atom surrounded by the A species, while keeping the other bonds like simple bonds.
This does not work. An atom which is the center of a polyhedron must only connect with those species that define the polyhedron and cannot be connected with additional species apparently.
In the attached figure, you see on the left-hand side the polyhedron, and on the right-hand side it's not there anymore because additional bonds involving the central metal are defined.
I hope I managed to express it clearly enough and that it solves your problem.
