The anode potential is the measured voltage between the anode and the reference electrode in its compartment. The cathode potential is the measured voltage between the cathode and the reference electrode in its compartment. A measured voltage between the two reference electrode (supposed to be identical) is the voltage drop due to the membrane resistance. The sum of these 3 measurements must be equal to the cell voltage (a voltage measured between anode and cathode).
Hi! I am working with two chamber Microbial fuel cell. Carbon felt and carbon fiber brush are used for anode and cathode electrode, respectively. Now, I need to measure the anode, cathode potential.
Can anyone let me know how to connect the Ag/AgCl reference electrode into the reactor@ ? Thanks a lot.
