To be honest with you, more than a Listening Comprehension Test, I was thinking about an Oral Test based on questions that would make the students produce answers, taking more an active part than a passive one in the communication.

However, the BBC test -which I didn't know, I have to admit it, could be useful for my purposes even if it is less official.

Language sampling is a good way to measure language. Using a standardized elicitation protocol, you ask the subject to tell the story of a wordless picture book such as Frog, Where Are You? (Mayer, 1969). You record their story and then transcribe the language sample into the software program. The software that I used is called SALT (Systematic Analysis of Language Transcripts). You use the same story pre and post. This software uses a scoring method called the Narrative Scoring Scheme. Your proposal sounds really enticing. However, I see it more intended to measure intermediate/higher levels, even native speakers, not for non-native beginners.

I am thinking about something that would allow me to measure, gradually, through questions and answers, the non-native learners' level from beginners to advanced.  I'll have to continue searching.

        I do not have a proposal for an specif test, But a way to make students talk is using autobiogrphy or biography. I am working on that right now taking  the relationship between enunciation modalities and literary genres as a  starting point .

    You can stablish yourself the level of your students oral skills trough the use of those enunciation modalities they include in their outputs. The posibilities of Biography and Autobiography are endless.

Your proposal is a great idea, but I'm looking for a specific exam ('ping-pong' questions and answers) with established measuring criteria, so all the participants would be assessed with exactly the same parameters.

I'll take your idea into account, though.

One possibility, although it is not free, is the Spanish form of Woodcock-Muñoz. It includes non-linguistic measures as well, but has some half a dozen reading, oral and writing measures which you could use as needed. Apart from being published, it is also standardised for age and for grade level, so you could get out a grade-equivalent measure of proficiency.

I didn't know that test, and I've just been browsing about it on the internet.  I've seen it follows a cognitive-academic language proficiency (CALP) approach, and I would be more interested in a test that follows the CEFR though.
