Can all forms of plastics be recycled? There are thermo and thermo setting , in which one of this cannot be recycled by traditional meathods . is there any other way to recycle these type of plastics?
Curing thermoplastic is a physical process and is reversible. Due to this characteristic, it is easily recyclable.
Thermoset plastics on the other hand is non recyclable. Because the curing process is based on irreversible chemical process. It is more resistant to high temperatures.
Thermoset plastics can be re-used in the form of Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF). The composition of Thermoset plastics in RDF should be kept minimum and should be burn in high temperature furnace.
Is the use of ’waste’ platics as an additive to road tar, bitumen, reducing the need for vägen hydrocarbon considered valid Reuse vector?
