Does anyone know about an expression plasmid containing the promoter of Myogenin (or any other MRF) upstream the MCS?
Basically, I would like to express my protein of interest in C2C12 cells only upon the onset of the differentiation.

The promoters of muscle-specific genes downstream of the myogenic factors are more often used to drive expression. If you like, I would be happy to send you a vector with the myosin light chain 1f promoter and enhancer flanking a MCS for inserting cDNAs. I have used it for many transgenics - it's absolutely skeletal muscle-specific, and is upregulated upon differentiation.
