Just recently, a colleague of mine freaked out when I inform that our faculty will be having viva at the end of our degree. I don't know how to react. And I don't know what to say. The only thing I did was to pass an information on the second - year blues phenomenon. But I don't even sure if she is having the PhD second - year blues.
If you have experience it, or have heard someone having it, please share with us what kind of 'blues' you or they are facing. And tell us how you knew it is the blues; and what are your responses to your colleagues having it.

Hi Dr. Low... thank you for the opinion. I have nothing to comment as yet, since I am only the student.... I heard some stuff, but honestly, I don't care much.
I am enjoying the student life as much as I can, before going back to work and face any unhealthy work politics (I hope its getting much lesser - a hope!). I have been waiting for PhD scholarship award like 8 years. Got accepted in University of Sydney and Curtin University, but had to turn them down. I'm pretty sure there are many culture - related stories happened within those years.
I keep saying to self - Where ever I will be, I will do my best! Be ahead, finish this thing soon, and keep positive. Its like a singing note to keep me self - motivated and thankful at the same time. I am in my second year now. And I really don't want that blues coming to me.

Thanks Dr. Low. Need as many wishes as possible. Sorry didn't able to reply sooner. Just completed 2 - day basic SPSS crash - course. It is satisfying now everything is clearer compare to reading tons of statistics books. Oh and I can't reply you through the inbox. There's something wrong with the message button.
