Is possible to prepare a PVA membrane by phase inversion ? If It's possible by witch solvent and coagulation bath ?

Phase inversion is done by casting the film in one solvent and after film is almost steady place the film on glass plate in a solvent in which the residual solvent in film mixes by diffusion and the solvent from bath enters the pores by mutual exchange.PVA film from water can be exchanged with alcohol.

You can try different concentration of PVA in water. regarding ethanol as a non-solvent bath you can try from 100% ethanol to 50% ethanol. Also, you can try other alcohols as a coagulation bath. But this will give you more dense structure.

You could prepare PVA membrane using water as a solvent, NaOH and Sodium Sulfate solution as coagulation bath
