Training of undergraduate pharmacy student represents a challenge even in developed countries. A recent report from the General Pharmaceutical Council (GhC) in Great Britain demonstrated that more than a quarter of pharmacy graduates who took the summer 2019 preregistration assessment did not pass and that pass rate was the lowest it has been since 2011. Several options are available for pharmacy student training either under the supervision of their universities while they are studying or post-graduation and before registration under the control of the national regulatory bodies, what do you think?
Unfortunately, there are a lot of universities start to ignore education side, and focus more on business side. They do not care for the quality of graduates, and care more for quantity though you may find them promoting themselves as one of top universities in the world, but the fact is totally different. Besides, nowadays, students themselves are not paying more attention to their study, and they just join a university for the sake of certificate ,not the sake of knowledge. Hence, it is expected for the number of unqualified pharmacy graduate to be lower and lower, and I think it is going to be worse in the future if we did not take a serious step towards this issue.
It is needed to strengthen clinical pharmacy training as in England for more attractive studies of pharmacy undergraduates programme. As a result of it, pharmacy graduates should be entitied to be members of a hospital drug treatment committee to avoid drug interactions and minimize side effects in patients.

There is a huge need to broaden our pharmacy program with clinical pharmacy, and with additional hours of practical skills for pharmacists.
As a pharmacist with the interest in the science I learnt a lot during the first years of studying pharmacy (basic sciences courses), but most of my colleagues did not find them very useful for their later labor in the community pharmacy.
I would be more than happy if our academic teachers showed us more tools of finding information and how effectively use these tools, instead of requiring remembering tons of information, such as hundreds of structures of compounds, chemical composition of herbal medicines with exact percentage content of compounds, and more.

Unfortunately, I agree that students are studying less nowadays and paying less attention, but I think it begins earlier (middle and high school).
In my opinion, Master of Pharmacy Degree is less and less valuable and it is not the course-of-choice for young highschool graduates, thus the standard of teaching is getting worse, since the most of the students, are the people who did not want to study pharmacy at the first place. (I'm describing polish pharmaceutical course).
I hope this situation will get better, since the pharmaceutical care is a crucial link between physicians and patients.
Thanks a lot Dr. Ali, Prof. Hermann and Dr. Gulej for your valuble comments and i do agree that we need more clinical traing and to equib our graduates with such clinical skills that will be helpfull for applying pharmaceutical care principles when ever there is a patient in a need of care in wards, out patient clinics or at community pharmacies.
Clinical training should be implemented with course work otherwise undergraduates have no idea what they are studying and purpose of studying
