Pet28-a vector for protein expression in bacteria?

Anyone who use XbaI and XhoI enzyme to digest the pet28 for decrease the unnecessary amino acid such as the T7 tag in protein expression. Does it work for protein expression? And why the pet28a contain two ATG code? Moreover, if ONE ATG code that I would add in the sequence begin the protein that I want to get work well?
