Dear Colleagues,

I am trying to synthesise Bi(1.6) Pb(0.4) Sr(2) Ca(2) Cu(3)O(x) High Tc superconductor.

After following the processes of making the Solution, the solution is being heated by a magnetic hot plate to get dried dust.

But, what is happening is that a brown vapour is coming out of the beaker and ultimately getting a black plastic type material.

No dust is being formed. Ultimately, the total solid seems to be evaporated.

Can anyone please suggest, what wrong with the process and how can I proceed further?

Thanks and Regards

N Das
