There is a program that converts latex files to .rtf files. It can be downloaded here

http://latex2rtf.sourceforge.net/

After conversion you can open the .rtf file with Microsoft Word and safe it in .doc format, if you want.

I used this way once. I can't say it works very good: one needs to read the resulting file carefully and correct mistakes after the conversion. Nevertheless, it is much better than to do all the conversion manually.

Dear Vladimir, thank you for your resdponse,. I ran tthe setup but on attempting to implemernt it the does prompt commented that only one file can be processed at once. There was an error message. I am using windows 10 system.

I don't have such an experience. In my computer it worked without problems. Maybe you should try to change the properties of the file to "compatibility with Windows 8" or even with an earlier version of Windows.
