I believe that you were using this technique successfully. It is a difficult one, but the twisting motion of ventricular contraction could explain why reflected waves do not have much to do with the aortic PW-form.

I thought you had found that the P2 in the aortic PW was produced by pressure alone, as Murgo et al (Circulation 1980;62:105-16) showed in Fig 1. These authors also gave the most convincing explanations of how the reflected waves are generated, but this was their assumption. The explanation of their error is in Fig 7 where P1 is hardly seen at the top of the thoracic aorta, but the peripheral (equivalent to radial) augmented SP clearly shows.
