I ma using microscope for particle size distribution. When I do with API, I saw some particles but when I trying to do with my drug product (ointment),I don't see any particles just bubble.
any idea. If API dissolve in drug product than I cannot able to see any particle, right?
Any suggestion how to do it?
The API is soluble or in amorphous state in the drug product. Check the solubility in each of the formulation excipients.
Do you have the API in its solid state? If yes , so you can see the crystals
Yoy cant mesure the particle size of api in ointment formula.
For ointment dosage form. ITs doesnt mean that we have to see only API particle. Excipient particle should also count, right?
My API mixed with oil, petroleum , alcohol. I think its dissolved.
