Hello,
I'm trying to run my Abaqus simulation using gpus. I have a PC with AMD Ryzen™ 5 2400G & Radeon™ RX Vega 11 Graphics.
Calling the gpu from CAE and the Command window doesn't work. I have found a possible solution using CUDA, which I have not tried yet since it refers to NVIDIA hardware. Other posts suggest using OpenCL but I can not find how to download it.
Any ideas would be helpful!
AMD have a platform called Radeon OpenCompute (ROCM)
In which they provide a compiler called HIP, which is in theory a drop in replacement for CUDA.
If you can get the source of ABAQUS you could try "hipify" it to run on AMD GPU.
ROCM is distributed for both Ubuntu and Fedora, I use the ubuntu version on Debian 10

What do you want to do with GPU??
In general, many popular libraries manages GPU (like Tensor Flow or OpenCV). If you want to program the GPU, I recommend OpenCL. First, you have to test if you have the OpenCL driver installed.
I generally use"GPU-Z".. This gives information of your system and have some little benchmarks Here comes the link: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/

I couldn't resolve the problem with GPU. Nevertheless, I finally used Abaqus Explicit for my runs which doesn't use GPU. It uses only CPU cores.

Ok, I understand. I did not know Abaqus, but I see it is a commercial tool for finite element simulation (i guess among others). I found this video from Simulia, explaining how GPU works, but it is not very practical

I want to know if your domain is regular or not . Of course, a regular domain is more suitable to GPU prcessing
