Hi there,

I have some FFPE brain tissue sections on Superfrost slides that I've been keeping at 4C for about a year. I was using these for IHC as recently as February with no problem. However I attempted to repeat my procedure this week and the tissue started floating off the slide in pieces when I added the primary antibody. The retrieval buffer was fresh but I'm still using the same bottle of diluent from IHC World that I opened 8 months ago so I'm looking into whether or not it's gone bad just in case. But also wondering if the slides are just too old. It's odd though since they stayed fixed throughout dehydration, retrieval (sodium citrate pH6, pressure cooker), rinsing, cooling, and two 5 min PBST washes. Just came right off when I added the diluent/antibody.

Any insights would be appreciated!

Thanks!
