29 September 2020 6 10K Report

More than 33 million infections with more than one million deaths worldwide as of 29 Sept 2020, the Wuhan pandemic is a around 10 months long nightmare and showed no signs of improvements. The world is bracing for the second wave of pandemic and people are more in the notion of ‘Pandemic Fatigue’ which much more dangerous than anything as they are taking it casually !! people are not careful about virus and going out frequently without taking precautions accepting it a new normal to live with virus.

More than 7 million cases recorded in US with a death toll of > 200,000 and Europe is not looking good either. Now the Europe is witnessing the second wave, there has been steep rise in cases in France, Netherlands. UK has also imposed another lockdown.

India is still struggling to contain the virus in the first wave. India’s case tally passed 6 million, there is no doubt that India will the next epicentre for SARS CoV-2 virus. The reasons could be virus testing gaps and actual number of asymptomatic cases could higher than expected.

This pandemic is not going to end anytime soon, cases get spiked up as the restrictions lifted, no herd immunity world is nowhere even close it, wide spread vaccine /viable treatment is possible until mid-2021. Realistic expectations effective vaccine (at least 50%).

This virus is not in hurry to go away. Keep your masks on in community and follow the preventive guidelines. Pandemic denial/ fatigue can be fatal.
