As I see it, an academic thesis, be is a Master's or Ph D' thesis,
1) should be written in a clear and clean language;
2) It should be theoretically grounded;
3) It should be creative and original;
4) It should try to answer to, say, to an "irritating" question,that is, a question whose response leads us to a better knowledge of the unknown.
5) It should be timely and make a reference to the previous relevant lliterature on the topic at hand.
