HI, i have experimental optical microscopic results of Oral skin effected from cancer. I want to get the images by using some simulations methods like FDTD, FEM etc. Is it possible to have simulations in order to get images comparable with experimental imaging results? Which method can be useful and how can we define the material? I mean, for defining material we have to put there refractive index for specific wavelength, then how can we decide which is the the material? If there are more than one material, how can we put refractive index?
In FEM the studied medium is divided into small element connected by points called nodes. During the simulations you can attribute a coefficient to any of the nodes than solve the differential equation that models your problems.
Another way of doing it is to specify a subdomain within your medium and attribute a coefficient to the entire subdomain as used by Comsol(R)
@Farouk,This not just by perform only in FEM also in FDTD, but the real problem is that how i can define refractive index of the material over a range of wavelength, i don't know material???
