Hello fellow researchers, I’m currently working with pulsed laser ablation in liquid (PLAL) to synthesize ZnO nanoparticles for potential antimicrobial applications. My Current Focus: • Exploring laser parameters (wavelength, pulse duration) across different solvents. • Facing colloidal stability issues – mainly aggregation post-ablation. Looking for Insights On: 1. Laser Settings – For small, monodisperse ZnO NPs, would you recommend shorter pulses (e.g., ns) or higher fluence? What trade-offs have you observed? 2. Solvent Choice – In your experience, which gives better colloidal stability without surfactants: water or ethanol? 3. Characterization Tips – What’s your go-to for quick crystallinity confirmation: XRD or TEM (SAED)? Any advice, practical experience, or references would be truly appreciated! #ZnO #LaserAblation #Nanoparticles #PLAL #MaterialsScience #Nanotech
