Dear all,

I tried to used optical profilometer to determine the thickness and homogenity of silver film on flexible kapton. The result I obtained is quite weird and unreasonable. Here is several observation:

1. The film width is around 6 mm and I scanned for 10 mm width. There should be substantial 'step' at around 2 and 8 mm location but it is quite blurred in the plot.

2. The film shows negative thickness compared to the surrounding kapton substrate.

3. Kapton is a flexible type of substrate and the curvature failed to be compensate by the 'levelled' function in the software.

I wonder can anyone make any suggestion on this. And in addition what I do is glue the kapton on the glass substrate. Does any one have better idea on how to deal with flexible substrate in the scenario?

Thank you so much.
