Dear Research Gaters,
Let me first add context to the question. I am looking to simulate the waste management system and resources of a city. The hardware devices I need to simulate include, bins' filling sensors, truck fleet, routes, ... etc.
My question is whether there is any open source (or otherwise) IoT simulator that could be integrated with machine learning methods to act upon the sensed waste data.
I would appreciate any directions and guidance.

You can try IoTIFY Simulator, I also don't know much about it, but trying to explore the features of it.
Sorry, I can't help you much in this. I also needed that but as of now I have just code my own simulation code, temporary.
I am still struggling to find an appropriate answer to this question :-(
You could probably use OMNeT++ for the IoT simulation part and Python for the ML part. As OMNeT++ uses C++, you may use C++'s functions for calling a ML Python script in runtime.
