Hello! I am doing a meta-analysis for an assignment (but I am also working on an IPD meta-analysis on the same topic for my internship). One of the studies is using 3 measures for the same outcome (suicide ideation). Should I first combine the 3 measures for this study and then pool the result with the other studies, or should I only pool the measure that has been used in the other studies as well? Thank you!

I think it is ok to select the outcome the other studies are using, though you should have pre-specified this in a protocol. It is also valid to pool effect sizes within studies or use many other methods that you can find in the link attached
