I have a biorad NGC 10 system and I am looking to attach an old Tricorn Superdex column (attached). I am very confused as to what adaptors and fittings I need to use and are appropriate to connect this column to the system. Anyone with experience in this area can provide assistance?
The BioRad LC system uses standard HPLC fittings. The low pressure glass column you have also uses standard LC fittings as well as luer lock adapters. You should be able to couple the column inlet/outlets using standard 1/16" fingertight fittings and/or a luer adapter (some of those low pressure columns come with luer endcaps) with appropriately sized (ID) tubing for your application. These types of fittings and tubing can be found in an commercial lab that performs LC analysis or they can be ordered from one of many supply companies (e.g. IDEX Health and Science).
