Is it necessary to purge the electrochemical cell with Ar gas before measuring OCP?
How can I prevent crevice corrosion during anodic polarization tests? I have tried experiments both with and without masking tape on the sample surface, but crevice corrosion still occurs. In my setup, the masking tape was applied to the sample surface, and a rubber O-ring was placed above the tape. What is the best way to avoid crevice corrosion in this configuration?
