I have analyzed and tried to compare the nutrient content of the pinewood biochar VS biochar obtained from weed biomass and corn straw (annual biomass). I observed a higher nutritional content in the annual grass/corn straw biochar compared to the biochar obtained from wood biomass (pine needles). What could be the reason for a higher NPK content in annual weed biomass than evergreen pine biomass? Does the cellulose/hemicellulose/lignin content of the plant's foliage play a role in the transport of nutrients in the plant's systems?
